Job Summary
About the role
The Beverage Gas Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering, servicing, and managing beverage gas systems for customer locations along an assigned route. This role requires safe handling of pressurized gas cylinders, compliance with DOT and Hazmat regulations, and strong customer service skills to support ongoing beverage operations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and install CO₂ and nitrogen beverage gas tanks at customer locations.
- Safely transport, handle, secure, and refill pressurized gas cylinders as needed.
- Manage and service an assigned beverage gas delivery route.
- Maintain accurate tank inventory and track usage on assigned routes.
- Complete and maintain required DOT and Hazmat documentation, including bills of lading.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, Hazmat, and company safety regulations.
- Perform routine inspections of tanks, vehicles, and delivery equipment.
- Provide professional customer service and support to existing accounts.
- Communicate delivery issues, inventory needs, or customer concerns to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and equipment.
- Use a smartphone or tablet to manage work orders, invoices, and secure payments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) - required.
- Must have or be able to obtain Hazmat endorsement for CDL, upon hire.
- 1 year route delivery experience, preferred.
- Mobile Technology Proficiency, preferred.
- Inventory control experience, preferred.
- Communication Skills - Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, ascend and descend step stools, ladders and stairs, kneel, crouch, balance, drive, lift >50lbs, reach above and below shoulders, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Employee is required to see in color, close and far distances, peripheral, depth, and adjust focus.
- Work Environment - Employees will regularly be required to work outside, and be exposed to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards and noise.
- Employee will occasionally be required to work indoors in an office setting, work alone and with others.
- Employee must consistently wear all appropriate personal protective equipment, as required by company safety policies while visiting locations.
