Beverage Bartender

Responsibilities
- Prepares ordered drinks with proper portions and ingredients such as wine, liquor and related bar service to guests at assigned stations.
- Mixes drinks according to prescribed recipes; keeps station stocked with all liquor, glasses and accessories necessary; accounts for all beginning cash register bank, all cash, complimentary drinks and charge receipts.
- Operates a cash register, ringing the proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change.
- Possesses a keen sense of timing and is capable of discreetly speeding up or slowing down his/her station as necessary.
- Resourceful with beverages, fruit and supplies in order to maintain low beverage costs.
- Setup service items at the assigned bar.
- Inventory supplies at the bar at the beginning of their shift and requisition additional items as indicated by Bar Standards.
- Clean any spillage at the bar throughout the shift.
- Take and serve cocktail orders.
- Accept payment for cocktails as required.
- Drop bank at recycler and ensure all receipts are in an organized fashion.
- Log stock used during the shift. Bottle to bottle shift.
- Maintains the appropriate appearance of the bar in accordance with county health and department standards.
- Ensures that all service items and stock is prepared for the shift.
- Remains attentive to the needs and requests of the guests.
- Treats guests with courtesy and respect.
- Follows all applicable safety procedures.
- Additional related duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Prefers 1-year prior bartending experience.
- Must have knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes.
- Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
- Must present a neat and professional appearance. Follow all company grooming policies.
- Work requires interactions with customers, the public, and co-workers.
- Work requires ability to accurately count money and provide change.
- Maintain knowledge of the brands of beer, wine, liquor being offered for consumption.
- Knowledge of company and department policies and procedures.
- Completion of specialized bartending school preferred.
- Adhere to and maintain all TIPS training regarding alcohol service and maintain the company standard of serving the guest every 30 minutes.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.
Additional Requirements
- Work may be performed in areas, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, dimly lit or brightly illuminated.
- Work may be performed in areas having a three-foot access and may encounter slippery surfaces.
- Constant contact with guests and team members.
- Ability to work from a standing position for extended periods of time.
- Requires seldom bending and reaching in areas from floor level to 6ft. high, pushing/pulling, firm/strong grasping and finger dexterity with both hands.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting/carrying weight of up to 25 lbs., balancing, twisting, turning, repetitive use of both hands with light grasping, eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Requires the ability to perform simple tasks, simple reading, writing and math skills, and the ability to compile information and memorize drink orders.
- Fast paced, high volume environment involving constant public.
- Must be able to handle intoxicated guests in a professional manner.
- Must have the ability to provide internal/external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests.
- Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills.
- Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Pay
$12.14 per hour + tips
Schedule
Full Time. Shift varies (Day, Swing, Overnight).
