Responsibilities
- Affixes dirty ashtrays and used glassware to bar tops, bar area, and floors.
- Cleans tables in lounge areas without cocktail servers.
- Maintains cleanliness of the work environment according to Health Department standards.
- Monitors glass washers for proper chemicals.
- Maintains soap and hand towel supply at hand sinks.
- Plants orders for all bar supplies.
- Delivers products to appropriate outlets and stocks according to specifications.
- Restocks bars and server wells with all required products and supplies.
- Cuts fruit to specification and prepares condiment caddies.
- Collects and discards trash from all outlets, wipes down walls behind trash containers, and collects soiled bar towels.
- Sweeps and mops pump room, cooler, and storage area floors.
- Soaks and cleans soda bag-in-box hoses and nozzles.
- Rotates draught beer kegs, liquor, and soda bag-in-boxes as required.
- Assists bartenders with orders, making eye contact, offering greetings, and ending interactions courteously.
- Prepares beverages to specification with speed and accuracy.
- Handles guest issues promptly and professionally, communicating problems and concerns to management.
- Ensures compliance with age verification for guests.
- Provides guest with property information, promotions, programs, and attractions.
- Maintains a professional and neat appearance at all times.
- Supports and promotes superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards.
- Maintains valid WV racing license, Food Handlers permit, and TIPS certifications.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED; one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Licensed by the West Virginia Racing Commission.
- Obtained proper Food Handler Certification.
- Tips and TOPs certified.
Qualifications
- Regularly stands, walks, uses hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaches with hands and arms, talks, and hears.
- Frequently stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls, tastes, and smells.
- Occasionally sits, climbs, and balances.
- Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds, frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.
- Exposed to smoke, wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock.
- Work environment noise level is usually moderate.
