About the Role

As part of HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group, you’ll help design the critical infrastructure that supports the digital age and shapes the spaces where people work, connect, and thrive. Primary Responsibilities
- Lead a team of technical experts to develop and execute a BES technology vision and roadmap, including strategy and investment planning.
- Integrate market-driven, innovative strategies with practical implementation and risk management.
- Develop communication strategies to connect BES technology professionals and inform key stakeholders.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to engage and inform critical BES stakeholders of technology program, including geographic leadership and market sector leadership.
- Standardize technology workflows and delivery practices to improve efficiency and quality.
- Promote thought leadership through strategy regarding industry awards, publications, speaking engagements, and leadership roles in technology relevant industry organizations.
- Lead visioning for technology workforce of the future. Recruit, develop, and retain technology talent.
- Partner with key stakeholders to identify and develop a network of Technical Experts/Subject Matter Experts as needed to support the HDR enterprise.
- Work to identify programmatic hardware and software needs, such as high-powered computing and modeling, and work with corporate information technology to facilitate and implement solutions.
- Develop strategies and support practice and professional discipline groups to foster technology talent collaboration and skills development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, information science, systems administration, or similar related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 5 in the consulting Architecture & Engineering industry.
- Proven leader with a growth mind-set and the ability to develop and implement technology strategies and drive organizational change.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to find solutions that advance projects and initiatives.
- Demonstrated understanding of a broad range of technologies and their applied delivery within the architectural-engineering sector.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
- Maintains a professional or Engineering registration and has related technical experience.
- Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
- Works cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.
- Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.

Compensation and Benefits
The expected compensation range for this position is $183,530.00 - $262,185.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits. Pay Transparency in Illinois: $192,269.00- $274,670.00, Ontario, CA: $199,640.00 - $327,980.00)
