About the role
An Automobile Porter performs a variety of duties within the Service Department, supporting both service and sales operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with service write-up and tagging customer cars and trucks.
- Provide customers rides to their home and employer.
- Clean areas around the service department and showroom.
- Pick up mail and perform other pick-ups and deliveries.
- Go on dealer trades, including inspecting both the outgoing vehicle and the unit being received for condition and missing equipment.
- Complete all required paperwork.
- Drive across surrounding states to pick up vehicles.
- Operate manual transmission vehicles.
Requirements
- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Valid Texas driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check screening.
- Manual dexterity and ability to handle machinery safely.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
