Benefits Support Associate
About the role
As a Beneficiary Support Associate, you'll play a crucial role in providing compassionate and informative support to individuals navigating sensitive life transitions. Your interactions are deeply meaningful, and you'll manage a consistent volume of inbound calls, resolve issues, and communicate important information.
Responsibilities
- Answer questions and offer reassurance to beneficiaries
- Walk beneficiaries through their available options with care and clarity
- Manage a consistent volume of inbound calls
- Provide resolutions to callers' issues
- Communicate important information
- Navigate multiple systems
- Maintain a professional demeanor and focus in emotionally charged situations
- Perform back-office duties such as processing claims and filing paperwork
Requirements
- Previous customer service and/or call center experience
- Experience supporting employee benefits or working in a benefits call center
- Preferred: Background in health and welfare benefits or similar support roles
- Empathy and emotional intelligence when engaging with others
- Keyboarding and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to multi-task, stay organized, and solve problems efficiently

Pay & Schedule
- Pay rate: $17.50 per hour
- Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST
- Overtime may be required
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Successful completion of a background check and drug test
