Benefits & Leave Specialist ($65-$85K)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), HSA/FSA, etc.)
  • Lead annual open enrollment and new hire benefits orientations
  • Maintain relationships with brokers, carriers, and vendors
  • Analyze plan performance, utilization, and costs; recommend improvements
  • Reconcile monthly invoices and resolve discrepancies
  • Serve as primary point of contact for employees navigating leave
  • Support employee education and engagement in benefits offerings
  • Support return-to-work coordination
  • Aid in payroll review, adjustments, and benefit-related deductions
  • Support onboarding and employee changes within HRIS systems
  • Support HR on employee experience initiatives and special projects
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to benefits and leave
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment
  • Aid in employee engagement activities and internal initiatives

Qualifications

  • ~3+ years of benefits administration experience
  • Strong knowledge of leave programs (FMLA, PFML, disability, etc.)
  • Understanding of benefits compliance and reporting requirements
  • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll coordination
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
