Job Description
The Benefits Expert is responsible for conducting comprehensive consultations with employees referred by FEDLogic client partners. The role focuses on assessing eligibility for federal, state, and employer-sponsored benefit programs and providing clear guidance to employees and their families navigating complex benefit systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one consultations with employees and their family members to evaluate eligibility for federal and state benefit programs.
- Analyze eligibility across programs including: Social Security Retirement benefits, Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Medicare (Parts A, B, C, and D), Veterans benefits, and state assistance programs.
- Assess household circumstances, income sources, healthcare coverage options, and other eligibility factors to identify appropriate benefit pathways.
- Explain application processes, documentation requirements, timelines, and coordination between employer-sponsored benefits and public programs.
- Manage cases from creation through resolution while maintaining accurate documentation in CRM or case management systems.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state benefit program rules, eligibility requirements, and policy changes.
- Collaborate with internal FEDLogic teams including Triage, Client Success, and Policy to ensure consistent service delivery and quality standards.
- Meet or exceed FEDLogic consultation quality and documentation standards.
- Any other duties as assigned by leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of direct experience working with federal benefits, social services, healthcare navigation, or related programs.
- Strong working knowledge of programs including: Social Security (Retirement, Disability and SSI), Medicare.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex regulations in clear, understandable terms.
- Strong organizational, analytical and documentation skills and be detail oriented.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Prolonged sitting and computer work.
- Must be able to handle confidential sensitive medical information.
- Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management systems (i.e. Salesforce and Tableau), workforce management tools, Google Workplace, Slack and minimal usage of Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish, written and verbal, is a plus.
- Experience providing benefits counseling, eligibility analysis, or case management.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations or individuals navigating serious health or financial challenges.
- Experience coordinating employer-sponsored benefits with federal and state programs.

Travel

Pay Range
The Pay Range For This Role Is 52,000 - 65,000 USD per year(Remote (United States))
