Our client is seeking a Benefits Configuration Analyst to collaborate with team members in supporting client configuration of benefits, eligibility, and in-unit testing of new or change requests. Work performance is measured by achieving successful configuration with a quality score of 90%.
Responsibilities
- Provides support for the client configuration of benefits and in-unit testing of new or change requests
- Tracks configuration prior to and after changes are made
- Applies benefit configuration as specified in submitted requests
- Ensures assigned due dates for submitted requests are met
- Performs data quality file validation via manual or automation processes
- Uses JIRA for queue management during Q4 season to ensure proper timelines are delivered
- Ensures client configuration readiness assessment is complete
- Validates that post-configuration tasks meet specific requirements
- Performs all workflow activities (preassessment, configuration, and testing)
- Acquires a thorough understanding of system constraints, conflicting benefit logic configurations, benefit coding table designs, and plan–group carrier to benefit linking to ensure proposed design satisfies the intended solution
- Troubleshoots and performs research on basic to moderately complex issues or internal customer inquiries, promptly responding to service failures, resolving issues, and escalating concerns as appropriate
- Performs in-unit testing and validation to confirm configuration design processes as expected and meets internal customer requirements, ensuring all appropriate forms and documentation are fully and accurately completed
Requirements
- Ability to thrive in a highly stressed, fast-paced environment
- Associate Degree or relevant experience preferred
- 3 years of external or internal customer service experience
- 2 years of healthcare, insurance, or eligibility experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (xlookups, macros, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to positively interact with internal customers and peers
- Skill in fact-finding and data collection
- Demonstrated willingness to take accountability for achieving service commitments and ability to achieve results
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interpret and evaluate client informational needs and determine appropriate alternative solutions
- Proven ability to map, document, and analyze end-to-end workflows
- Meticulous approach to routine tasks, ensuring accuracy and strict adherence to established compliance and quality standards
Pay
$20–$35 per hour, depending on experience level.
Schedule
40 hours per week. This is a contract position.
