About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Benefits Associate to join our Health & Benefits team. This role provides technical and administrative support with a focus on enrollment technology, carrier connectivity, reporting, billing reconciliation, compliance, and policy maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Employee Navigator (ENAV) for new clients, Open Enrollment, and benefit changes.
- Manage enrollment activity, including employee additions, terminations, and Qualifying Life Events (QLEs).
- Review carrier discrepancy reports and work with carriers and internal team members to research and resolve issues.
- Coordinate and maintain EDI/API and 834 carrier connections.
- Perform billing audits and prepare billing discrepancy, deduction, enrollment, and other client reports.
- Assist with Medicare compliance and 1094 reporting.
- Collect census, HB2015, and other required client information.
- Maintain activities and documentation within Applied Epic.
- Work closely with Account Managers, carriers, clients, and other Benefits team members to keep enrollment and policy information accurate and up to date.
Requirements
- Life & Health insurance license preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Excellent organization and follow-through.
- Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and multiple technology platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to research discrepancies through resolution.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous employee benefits, insurance, HR administration, billing, or related experience preferred.
- Employee Navigator and/or Applied Epic experience is a plus.
- Experience with EDI/API/834 carrier connections is a plus.
