Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in benefits administration, including health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and leave programs.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and compliance requirements, including federal and state regulations related to benefits.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and benefits management systems like UKG, and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support employees and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Experience in a managerial or lead benefits role is preferred; prior work in real estate, construction, or hospitality environments is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional HR or benefits certification (such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or CEBS) is beneficial.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is awesome.

Benefits and Safety Coordinator

The Benefits and Safety Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Waite Park, MN. This role is responsible for overseeing the administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and other company-sponsored plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing benefits enrollments and changes, ensuring data accuracy in HR systems, and serving as a primary point of contact for employee benefits questions. This role collaborates with HR, payroll, and external vendors to handle compliance, reporting, and renewals, and supports benefits communication, education, and process improvement initiatives. This role also assists with policy interpretation, audits, and the implementation of new benefits offerings aligned with organizational goals.

Total Rewards

Compensation for this position can vary widely depending on the level of expertise in this area but budgeted range is $30-$38 an hour plus PTO, full medical, dental, vision and 401K.
