Key Responsibilities: Learn and utilize the agency management system to support employee benefits analysis, reporting, and client deliverablesDevelop a foundational understanding of the employee benefits industry, including health and welfare plans, compliance requirements, and carrier operationsSupport benefits analysts, service, and sales teams by shadowing client meetings and internal strategy discussionsAssist with data analysis, entry, and validation related to employee benefits plans, renewals, and client reportingCompile and maintain records, reports, and benefit plan documentation to support client service and compliance effortsSupport the PCORI project and other regulatory and compliance-related initiatives within the benefits practiceResearch and analyze employee benefits data files for group clients, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunitiesGain exposure to the clients we serve and the industries they operate in, with an emphasis on benefits strategy and cost managementLearn about benefits carriers and vendors, including plan structures, funding arrangements, and reporting requirementsBuild an understanding of key employee benefits coverages and how they are applied to meet client needs and objectives Qualifications: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree programPreferred majors include, Risk Management & Insurance, Acturarial Science, Mathematics, Business Management, or related fieldsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCurious, motivated, and eager to learn about the insurance industry and grow professionally The Hilb Group is an equal opportunity employer, and we actively support and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws prohibiting all forms of discrimination in employment.
