How you will make an impact at TPG

In this role, you’ll manage a dedicated book of mid-to-large group employee benefits clients, serving as their primary point of contact and ensuring consistent, high-quality service across renewals, compliance, and day-to-day needs. By coordinating marketing efforts, analyzing plan performance, and guiding clients through complex benefits decisions, you’ll directly support their ability to offer competitive, compliant programs to their employees. Your work will help strengthen long-term client relationships and contribute to retention, growth, and overall service excellence across the Employee Benefits team.

Key details

  • Title: Benefits Account Manager
  • Location: Renton, WA (preferred); in-office with hybrid remote opportunities. Also open to Portland, OR, Boise, ID, or other locations for highly qualified individuals.
  • Hrs: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri
  • Salary Range: $75,000-85,000 annually (DOE)
  • Phys Req: Ability to sit for long periods of time, ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and ability to handle long periods of screen time.
  • Travel: Minimal, if any

What you’ll bring to the table

  • Exp: At least 2-5+ years of experience in employee benefits, insurance brokerage, or account management support
  • Lic: Active Life & Health Insurance license
  • Abil: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a high-volume workload
  • Comm: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear client-service orientation
  • Org: Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and follow-through in managing client deliverables
  • Prof: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Word

What will make you really stand out

  • Exp: Experience working with mid-to-large group employee benefits clients (50+ lives)
  • Exp: Prior experience in an Account Manager or similar client-facing role within a brokerage environment
  • Abil: Familiarity with employee benefits compliance, regulatory considerations, or plan design analysis
  • Exp: Experience supporting marketing efforts such as RFP development, renewal strategy, or cost projections
