About the role
The Benefits Manager will oversee the day-to-day administration and ongoing improvement of employee benefit programs while also identifying opportunities to enhance communication, employee engagement, recognition efforts, wellbeing initiatives, and the overall employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Own the administration and ongoing improvement of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, voluntary benefits, and related programs
- Manage relationships with benefits brokers, vendors, carriers, and external partners to ensure strong service delivery and program effectiveness
- Lead annual open enrollment planning, communication, employee education, system readiness, and execution
- Partner with HR, payroll, and internal teams to ensure accurate eligibility, enrollment, deductions, and employee data
- Conduct benefits audits, reporting, and issue resolution to support accuracy and compliance
- Serve as a resource for employees and leaders by providing clear, accessible benefits information and support
- Translate complex benefits information into employee-friendly communications and resources
- Evaluate current programs and recommend improvements based on employee feedback, utilization, and business needs
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance communication, and create a stronger employee experience as the organization grows
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Benefits Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
- 5+ years of experience in benefits, total rewards, HR operations, or a related HR function
- Experience administering employee benefit programs within a multi-state workforce
- Experience partnering with benefits vendors, brokers, carriers, and external partners
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives such as open enrollment and employee programs
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential information and competing priorities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across employees, leaders, vendors, and HR partners
- Self-motivated, curious, and proactive with a mindset focused on continuous improvement
Qualifications

- 10–15% annual bonus opportunity
