Benchmarking Program Manager, Cloud Economics Scale
About the role
As a Benchmarking Program Manager, you will create and evangelize new benchmarking studies that help customers understand KPI-related benefits they can achieve on AWS. This role involves building processes, content, and messaging for internal customer-facing teams and external audiences. You will work cross-functionally to understand requirements and approaches of diverse internal and external users, develop plans to scale the impact of benchmark studies, and assess innovative ways to apply benchmark insights to help customers with value-based business cases for cloud adoption.
Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional internal stakeholders to design studies and communicate market realities regarding the economics of running IT applications and infrastructures in the cloud compared to a traditional data center environment.
- Develop and conduct new benchmarking studies to help customers understand the financial and operational benefits of the cloud.
- Own the entire benchmarking study process and relationship with external vendors, including creating RFPs and evaluating, selecting, and managing vendors.
- Develop and execute go-to-market and scaling mechanisms for new studies.
- Design and manage program impact tracking metrics for management reporting.
About the team
The AWS Cloud Economics Scale team builds tools, IP, and methodology to help customers identify and quantify value creation opportunities at each stage of their journey to the cloud. We engage directly and collaboratively with customers and internal AWS teams to deliver cloud value expertise. The team helps answer the question: "What value can I expect to achieve by using AWS?"
Requirements
- 3+ years of program or project management experience.
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
- Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups).
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
- 3+ years of driving process improvements.
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.
Pay
- USA, NY, New York: $81,600.00 - $142,800.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $74,200.00 - $129,800.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle: $82,700.00 - $129,800.00 USD annually
