JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Machine tools, parts, castings repair work.
- Machining and puddling.
- Metal fabrication and machine shop.
- Experience with melting, mechanical assembly, sandblasting, and brazing/soldering or puddling knowledge.
- Knowledge of processes such as grinding and cleaning equipment.
- Physical and some hotter temperatures of parts and materials (not foundry).
- Position and secure workpieces on machines, and start feeding mechanisms.
- Set up, operate, or tend metal or plastic molding, casting, or coremaking machines.
- Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Remove finished or cured products from dies or molds, using hand tools, air hoses, and other equipment.
- Stamp identifying information on products when necessary.
OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Min 1-2 years shop experience.
- Experience with melting, die cast, spin casting, and/or repair welding using MIG/TIG.
- Experience with manual machinery.
- Set up experience preferred.
- Experience in die cast or foundry is close.
- Some heavy lifting.
