About the role

Scientific Games is the global leader in lottery games, sports betting, and technology, partnering with government lotteries to deliver cutting-edge backend systems, entertainment experiences, and retail and digital solutions. As a Bench Technician II, you will primarily lead equipment installation at customer sites, using a company vehicle to deliver and set up lottery equipment. This role also involves in-house service and repair of company products, including communication hardware, lottery point-of-sale systems, and vending equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and install company equipment at customer sites.
  • Lead a team on special projects and events.
  • Support field technicians during and after equipment installation.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures.
  • Perform general warehouse duties, including inventory, shipping, and forklift operation.
  • Communicate orally and in writing with field-based technicians regarding diagnostics and repairs.
  • Perform maintenance, testing, and calibration of repaired products, including inventory tracking.
  • Assist in developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures.
  • Train new and existing team members.
  • Create presentations and reports on bench activities, equipment issues, and performance.
  • Support high-profile issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience troubleshooting computer software and hardware technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to respond promptly to customer and leadership requests.
  • Proven self-starter with strong motivation and initiative.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills for effective multitasking.
  • Judgment and problem-solving skills to determine cost-effective repairs.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
  • Availability for overtime and overnight travel if required.
  • Ability to lift, install, and move large self-service equipment (regularly lift or move 35 pounds or more).
  • Pass a background check, drug test, and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Regular travel to customer locations for on-site work.
  • Ability to drive a non-CDL delivery truck.
  • Pass DOT certification and drug test.

  • Regularly sitting, standing, walking, and bending.
  • Using hands to operate computers and business equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
