About the role

The Belt Technician I position is available in Jefferson, PA. This role focuses on fabricating conveyor belts according to order requirements and company procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Become proficient in all Belt Tech competencies and skill areas.
  • Observe and follow safety rules and company policies.
  • Complete shop orders by the Production Priority Code system.
  • Perform tasks to ensure quality standards and customer-specific requirements are met.
  • Identify unusual fabrication instructions and communicate with the Team Lead.
  • Assist in belt installation at customer facilities.
  • Complete additional special assignments as assigned.
  • Perform general belt fabrication including Cut To Length, Lacing, Finger Splicing, and Slitting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, technical/trade school, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver’s license required if operating company vehicle.
  • Prior manufacturing work experience in operating machinery and using various hand tools.
  • Ability to read and comprehend shop orders and working drawings written in English.
  • Basic mathematical functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and metric system.

  • Physical abilities to walk, use feet to operate machine, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach above shoulders, move from place to place, use hands to finger, handle or touch, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.

Schedule

8-hour shifts Monday to Friday.

Experience

1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.

Relocation

Relocate before starting work (Required).
