Fabrication and Installation
- Fabricate, splice, and install conveyor belts and related products according to specifications and safety standards.
- Perform belt inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime for customers.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete belt fabrication and installation tasks.
- Accurately measure, cut, and prepare materials to meet customer requirements.
Service Activities
- Document service activities, including installation notes, inspection results, and repair recommendations.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of products.
- Provide on-site technical support and training to customers on belt operation and maintenance.
Work Environment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in shop and field settings.
Customer Interaction
- Represent Belt Power professionally during customer visits, ensuring strong relationships and trust.
Training and Development
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current on product offerings, safety practices, and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications:
- Proven ability to fabricate, splice, and install conveyor belts safely and accurately.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and belt fabrication equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in shop and field environments.
- Commitment to safety practices and adherence to company and customer standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for customer-facing service.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in belt fabrication, installation, or industrial maintenance.
- Familiarity with conveyor systems, power transmission products, or related industrial solutions.
- Experience providing on-site service and technical support in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of different belt types, splicing methods, and installation techniques.
- Demonstrated success in maintaining customer satisfaction through quality service delivery.
- Willingness to travel for customer installations, emergency service calls, or training.
- OSHA or other safety certifications related to industrial maintenance or fabrication.
