Bellperson (Full-Time) - Pendry Chicago

About the role

The Bellperson position assists the Rooms leadership team in providing exceptional guest experiences. This role focuses on engaging guests throughout the hotel and managing the full-cycle guest luggage experience, contributing to the organization as an active business partner supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.

Responsibilities

• Assist with full-cycle guest luggage program
• Facilitate hotel room orientations, deliver amenities, and other items to guest rooms as needed
• Maintain working knowledge of hotel rooms, services, and features, and relay information to guests
• Drive hotel vehicles short distances off-property for guest drop-offs, pick-ups, or item retrievals as requested

Requirements

• Minimum of two years’ experience in customer service
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English, the primary language used in the workplace
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Luxury hotel experience preferred
• Prior Bellperson experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours
• Ability to bend, squat, and lift up to 60 lbs., including luggage, guest items, and bags regularly
• Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. regularly
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, hearing, and visual acuity

Pay

The pay range for this position is $15.45 hourly (base rate, exclusive of incentive pay such as gratuities).
