Behavioral Technician
About the role
The UNT Kristin Farmer Autism Center (KFAC) is seeking a full-time Behavior Technician to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional clinical services to young children on the autism spectrum. The primary responsibility of the Behavior Technician will be to provide direct intervention and instructional programs for 5-7 young children with autism, utilizing evidence-based interventions. The position will be supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Responsibilities
- Directly implements individualized skill building and behavior support plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Accurately collects, records, and graphs child data, and reports concerns regarding childrens progress to supervisor.
- Maintains developmentally appropriate, neat, clean, and orderly classrooms and treatment rooms.
- Affords assistance in the development of daily schedules, and maintains all necessary staff and client spreadsheets including schedules, training, availability, contact information, role, etc.
- Effectively addresses and resolves problems related to scheduled and unscheduled client and staff absences.
- Maintains awareness of individual child needs, staff skills, and space utilization to assist in decisionmaking.
- Effectively uses technology to maintain effective operations ensuring staff and child activities are recorded and documented.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings, trainings, and special events as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED equivalent and one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- A basic understanding of behavior analytic principles and procedures.
- A knowledge of evidence-based practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential.
Skills
- A basic understanding of autism spectrum disorders.
- Ability to work with clients with autism spectrum disorders.
- Ability to be patient, flexible, versatile, and cope with stressful situations.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
