ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect data within the school environment.
- Aid in data collection for Functional Behavior Assessments.
- Participate in the development and implementation of behavioral programs, including behavioral support plans and intervention plans.
- Aid staff in implementing behavioral systems.
- Shape and teach appropriate behavior to students.
- Be available as needed by school staff.
- Perform specific tasks such as:
- Preparation of classroom charts and behavior management aids/tools.
- Data collection and recording.
- Monitoring and sharing recommendations for interventions with staff.
- Monitoring and supervising students needing specific behavioral intervention.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Four (4) years of experience working with behaviorally complex children.
- Or, an associate degree or 60-credit hours from an accredited institution.
- Two (2) years of experience working with behaviorally complex children.
- Physical stamina and ability to work with behaviorally complex students.
- Computer skills as required for the position.
TRAINING
- Attend training in Positive Behavioral Supports and De-escalation strategies within six (6) months of employment.
- Attend training in Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavioral Intervention Plans within six (6) months of employment.
- Behavior Technicians requiring PCM training will be trained in collaboration with the ESE Department.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Salary and benefits consistent with the District's approved compensation plan.
- Length of the work year and hours of employment established by the School Board.
COMPENSATION
- Hourly rate: $21.13 - $31.92 per hour.
- No shift differential.
