About the role
Sisseton Wahpeton College is seeking qualified instructors for full-time and part-time positions in the Behavioral Sciences. The college welcomes applicants with a Master’s degree in Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, or Political Science.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction in courses that explore social, political, and behavioral topics.
- Support the academic growth of students in a culturally responsive environment.
- Teach courses such as Public Policy, Rural Politics, Contentious Politics and Social Movements, and Criminal Justice Policy Issues & Reforms.
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in one of the behavioral science fields (Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, or Political Science).
- Previous teaching experience.
- Knowledge of the subject matter and ability to engage students in learning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Indigenous communities and culturally responsive teaching practices.
- Commitment to student success and inclusive education.
Additional Information
- Indian preference will apply.
- Teaching may include full-time or adjunct assignments, depending on departmental needs.
