About the role

The Nursing Assistant is responsible for administering direct patient care and performing any other duties deemed necessary to ensure optimal patient care and physician service, under the direction and supervision of the professional nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with ambulation
• Dressing and undressing patients
• Changing bed linen
• Assisting with diet
• Vital signs
• Compresses
• Preoperative and postoperative care
• Observing patient's condition and reporting immediately any untoward signs, symptoms or unusual occurrences
• Maintaining current documentation of patient's status on treatment sheet and giving report to nurse

Requirements

• A high school graduate
• Prior experience preferred

Qualifications

• Must be able to work nights

Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions
• Basic medical knowledge
