Behavioral Interventionist

Hourly Rate: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour

Location: San Bernardino, California; Onsite

About the role

As a Behavioral Technician, you will provide direct behavioral, academic, and classroom support services to students with IEPs and behavioral support needs within a school-based setting. This role is well-suited for experienced Behavioral Technicians, Behavior Interventionists, and Paraprofessionals who are passionate about supporting students with developmental and behavioral needs in educational environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement student IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) using ABA strategies with fidelity
• Collaborate with teachers and behavior teams to support classroom and school routines
• Accurately collect, document, and report behavioral and academic data
• Utilize CPI de-escalation and physical intervention strategies when necessary for student safety
• Support students with personal care needs including toileting, diapering, and mobility assistance
• Provide one-to-one and classroom-based behavioral and academic support
• Work actively alongside students in classrooms, playgrounds, and transitional settings
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and additional duties as assigned

Schedule

• Shift details: Monday–Friday, after school hours
• Hours per week: Part time
• Contract length: School-based assignment

Requirements

Education Required

Must meet one of the following:

• Passing score on the Paraprofessional Exam
• Completion of at least 48 college credits
• Associate’s degree or higher

Licenses & Certifications

• CPI Certification preferred

Skills

• Comfortable supporting students with behavioral and developmental needs
• Ability to follow ABA strategies and implement behavior support plans
• Strong teamwork, communication, patience, and reliability skills
• Ability to assist with toileting, diapering, lifting, and physical interventions as needed
• Experience working with students with disabilities or behavioral support needs preferred
