• Conduct individual and group clinical interventions as prescribed on individual mental health treatment plans, using strategies within scope of practice and under supervision.
• Provide psychosocial group interventions as prescribed on the mental health treatment plan.
• Provide mental health liaison services to an assigned caseload, including monitoring offender progress with treatment plan goals.
• Complete psychosocial needs and treatment assessments as part of interdisciplinary treatment planning.
• Complete transfer and discharge summaries.
• Consult with other institution staff regarding the mental health caseload inmate’s institutional adjustment and service needs.
• Initiate and maintain contact with families and community agencies.
• Provide and seek information relative to patient care and treatment.
• Make appropriate community referrals per mental health treatment team.
• Write reports and documentation including electronic documentation of all inmate contacts, mental health liaison progress note entries, discharge plans, and miscellaneous forms and reports per policy and protocol.
• Attend meetings of social work or counselor supervision.
• Attend in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development.
• May be assigned to teach in-service.

Pay

Starting pay is approximately $70,000 based on location. DRC is a “qualifying employer” for purposes of the federal Public Service Student Loan Forgiveness program.
