Behavioral Health Unit - Registered Nurse - (FT)

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in our Behavioral Health Unit is a key member of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals across the lifespan. This role involves assessing, planning, coordinating, and implementing care tailored to the unique emotional, psychological, and medical needs of each patient.

Requirements

• Knowledgeable in Medical Terminology.
• Effective communication skills.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS HCP).
• De-escalation training within one year of hire.
• Ability to manage, coordinate, and direct nurses in administrative tasks.
• Good interpersonal skills for communicating with patients and staff.
• Problem-solving abilities and enthusiasm for accepting daily work challenges.
• Understanding and profound knowledge of all medications and equipment in the department.
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and basic Windows-based programs.

Qualifications

• One (1) year psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• One (1) year of nursing experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Maintains current RN license within the state of Idaho.

Pay

Classification: Full Time
Benefit eligible: 36 hours/week
Nights: 3 week rotation

Schedule

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Week 2: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
Week 3: Sunday, Monday, Thursday
