About the role

The Behavioral Health Department at Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation manages programs including Behavioral Health, DD Services, and Home Care Services. This position oversees the training and credentialing needs of these departments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall training and credentialing needs of the Behavioral Health Department.
  • Administer and develop training plans for all staff immediately following Corporate NEO, providing general orientation and introduction to its programs based on the COMPASS and CODECAT tools.
  • Aid the BH Administrator(s) and other Directors with CCISC development and compliance.
  • Identify and engage various local, regional, and statewide training resources to ensure adequate and diverse training methodologies.
  • Maintain and ensure that all direct service staff have a training plan in place addressing job-specific competencies, licensure, and credentialing requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Health-related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and sensitivity to cultural considerations in managing programs and providing services.
  • Alaska Drivers License required.
  • Basic computer skills required.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagrams.
