Job Summary

Community Fairbanks Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist Licensed (L) to engage with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds to improve their health and wellness, live self-directive lives, and strive to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate will facilitate, monitor, and provide evidence-based, culturally competent mental health and substance use services.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds to improve their health and wellness, live self-directive lives, and strive to reach their full potential.
  • Facilitate, monitor, and provide evidence-based, culturally competent mental health and substance use services.
  • Utilize Evidenced Based Practices (EBP) such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Trauma-Focused CBT among other EBPs.
  • Help clients navigate their healing journey and build resilience.
  • Provide effective and efficient mental health interventions including, but not limited to comprehensive psycho-social assessments, individual, family and process group therapies, and crisis intervention appropriate to client needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based practices, tailored to their unique needs.
  • Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions using modalities to help clients reduce distressing symptoms and improve overall functioning.
  • Develop and implement effective and efficient treatment discharge plans as is appropriate to client needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care and advocate for clients, including referrals to additional resources and support services as needed.
  • Recognize and commit to the critical importance of customer satisfaction (both internal and external customers).

Qualifications

  • LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the State of Indiana required.
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health related field required.
  • 2+ years of experience providing mental health treatment required.
  • Possess current Indiana Driver’s license with proof of current auto insurance.

Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
