About the role
The Behavioral Health Therapist (Associate Licensed) will engage with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds to improve their health and wellness, live self-directive lives, and strive to reach their full potential. The therapist facilitates, monitors, and provides evidence-based, culturally competent mental health and substance use services.
Responsibilities
- Engage in comprehensive psycho-social assessments, individual, family and process group therapies, and crisis intervention.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based practices, tailored to client needs.
- Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions using modalities to help clients reduce distressing symptoms and improve overall functioning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care and advocate for clients, including referrals to additional resources and support services as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Ensure ethical therapeutic practice including trauma informed lens, harm reduction model, and non-judgmental support.
- Stay well-informed of current research and best practices, participating in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Engage in self-care practices to prevent burnout and maintain personal well-being, modeling healthy coping strategies for clients and colleagues.
Requirements
- License eligible for the LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LCAC in the State of Indiana required.
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health related field required.
- 2 + years of experience providing mental health treatment required.
- Possess current Indiana Driver’s license with proof of current auto insurance.

- Experience with trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices.
Skills
- Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practices (EBP) such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Trauma-Focused CBT.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
