Overview
Location: Spanish Fork, UT
Compensation: $70,000 to $80,000 per year
Department: Stabilization and Assessment (residential treatment or crisis-intervention experience strongly preferred)
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual therapeutic sessions with students to address and explore their unique needs, challenges, and emotional well-being.
- Facilitate family therapy sessions involving students and their parents to foster open communication, resolve family dynamics, and promote healing.
- Lead specialized group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment among students, encouraging personal growth and interpersonal skills.
- Participate in weekly interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans for students.
- Engage in regular clinical meetings and supervision sessions, contributing to ongoing professional development, sharing insights, and receiving guidance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of therapeutic sessions and student progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Actively participate in family weekends, offering therapeutic support to families, and contributing to the overall healing process.
- Organize and lead two-day camping trips twice a year, providing opportunities for experiential learning, building relationships within families, and creating memorable therapeutic experiences.
Qualifications
- Minimum master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences - Social Work (MSW), Clinical Social Work (CSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) or a related discipline.
- PREFERRED - Fully Licensed Mental Health Therapist: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC).
- ADEQUATE - Associate licensure: Certified Social Worker (CSW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACMHC).
- A desire to facilitate client growth through a team approach, working with other care providers.
- A desire to perform and develop counseling/therapeutic expertise in individual, family, and group therapy.
- PREFERRED - Two years of working experience as a therapist leading individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
- PREFERRED - One year of experience in a residential setting using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.
- Ability to plan, implement, and adjust a course of treatment as required.
- Ability to pass a state background check.
