Behavioral Health Technician (Full-Time | 4-Day Schedule)

About the role

This Behavioral Health Technician position offers a 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday) with your paycheck rounded up to 40 hours, giving you more time off without sacrificing income. You'll work directly with children and adolescents in a structured behavioral health program, providing support, supervision, and guidance throughout their day.

Responsibilities

• Support clients throughout their daily program, including activities, group sessions, and transitions
• Provide direct care, supervision, and emotional support
• Transport clients to and from the facility (company vehicle)
• Observe behaviors and document progress and changes
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
• De-escalate situations and respond appropriately when needed
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support treatment plans

Requirements

• Must be 21+ years old (required for driving clients)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to stay calm and effective in high-energy or stressful situations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine interest in working with youth

Qualifications

• Preferred Background Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or social services
• 6–12 months of experience working with youth or in a care setting
• Current or recent coursework in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field
