About the role

Provides direct patient care and supportive services to patients with mental health disorders as well as chemically dependent patients to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients. Carries out a variety of patient care activities which support the maintenance of the therapeutic milieu, and which meet the patient's needs for comfort and safety. May also perform the duties and responsibilities of an Emergency Department Technician.

Responsibilities

• May perform duties of an Emergency Department Technician

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or other behavioral health related fields
• One (1) year of experience in a behavioral health field setting, OR three (3) years of experience in psychiatric settings in a clinical/direct patient care job
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred qualifications

• Patient care experience in a hospital or inpatient mental health facility

Schedule

Two 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
