About the role
We are hiring a Behavioral Health Technician for a day shift position. This is a regular role at RHA Health Services. The ideal candidate will be a caring and compassionate advocate to support individuals with behavioral health needs in various settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic behavioral interventions to clients in accordance with the treatment plan.
- Adhere to client schedule and deliver appropriate units of service as directed by supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the treatment team.
- Report the effectiveness of treatment protocols and treatment difficulties to supervisor and clinician.
- Document treatment data/results on progress notes that are clinically appropriate and timely.
- Complete assessments and assist in accordance with Department of Human Services guidelines.
- Record all cancellations/changes in scheduled sessions on IBHS Service Delay form.
- Complete miscellaneous paperwork as directed by management.
- Utilize safe crisis management techniques as deemed appropriate.
- Perform all job responsibilities in a safe manner and adhere to safety practices and standards established by the company.
- Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with company policy and HIPAA Privacy Rule regulations.
- Attend trainings, supervision sessions, and staff meetings as directed by supervisor and in accordance with company policy and program regulations.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ensures stakeholder satisfaction with the company by maintaining proactive, responsive communication.
- Directs communication with management and executives.
- Establishes and maintains frequent and regular communication with Behavioral Consultant, administrative director, and clinical director as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA OR Certification as a Board-Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), or Board-Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) OR Behavior health certification or behavior analysis certification OR Minimum of 2 years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services.
- Experience: Previous work experience must be on a paid, full-time basis working with children, youth and young adults.
