Behavioral Health Specialist - Social Worker
Description
Johnson Memorial Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks an experienced Behavioral Health Specialist, LCSW to join their team of specialized integrated behavioral health professionals. This is a per diem position for weekend coverage.
What Will You Do
- Counsels patients in the Emergency Room setting.
- Conducts crisis assessments and biopsychosocial assessments.
- Provides behavioral interventions.
- Builts caring relationships with target population.
- Improves access to health and human services.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to determine care plans.
- Coordinates referrals with external agencies or facilities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a social work field including, Social Work; Marriage and Family Therapy; Psychology; and/or Mental Health Clinician.
- Licensed at a LMSW Level or capable of obtaining licensure.
- Licensed at a LCSW, LPC, LMFT level required.
- Requires two years of clinical experience working with at-risk populations.
- Requires the ability to communicate with target population.
- Requires culturally competent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the local community.
