Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nursing and behavioral health assessments
- Monitor psychiatric symptoms, physical health conditions, and treatment effectiveness
- Administer and monitor psychiatric medications
- Coordinate care with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, primary care providers, and community agencies
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
- Assist clients in accessing medical, psychiatric, housing, and community resources
- Participate in community outreach, home visits, and crisis support activities as needed
Requirements
- Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License OR Advanced Nursing Degree for Nurse Specialists
- Minimum two years of experience working with individuals living with serious and persistent mental illness, psychiatric disorders, or chronic mental health conditions
- Knowledge of behavioral health services, psychiatric medications, and community resources
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation responsibilities
- Valid New Jersey driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Psychiatric nursing experience
- Community Mental Health nursing experience
- Behavioral Health nursing experience
- Experience working within PACT, ACT, or intensive community treatment programs
- Supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience providing psychoeducation and medication management services
- Bilingual English/Spanish
