About the role

This nursing role involves providing patient care in inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse units, requiring adaptability to fast-paced, multi-age environments. The role involves working in clinical and patient care areas, with frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting. It requires working near equipment cleaning solutions and adhering to infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in inpatient settings, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Work in various shifts, including nights, evenings, and rotational days.
• Maintain compliance with infection control policies, using PPE as required.
• Assist with patient assessments, care planning, and documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care and support patient recovery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
• Current NYS RN license required.
• Experience in acute or ambulatory care preferred.
• Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC are advantageous.
