About the role

The Behavioral Health Program Director at Generations, Walnut Creek CA, oversees a 30-bed special treatment program designed to rehabilitate adults with moderate to severe mental illness. Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage a Behavioral Health Residential Program
  • Train and develop staff to implement a program that has been developed
  • Provide training on Behavioral Health program
  • Manage and supervise staff effectively
  • Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards

Requirements

  • Preferred: RN, LPT, LVN, OT, COTA, LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC licensure or near licensure
  • Strengths to include management, trainer/educator, supervisory experience
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Assertive and compassionate
  • Experience working with adults with Mental Health Diagnoses
  • Highly organized and collaborative

Qualifications & Experience

  • Mental health Therapist (LCSW, LMFT/AMFT, LPCC, Licensed Psychologist)
  • RN/LVN, OT or COTA
  • Psychiatric Technician
  • Dance Therapist, Music Therapist
  • Program Director STP: preferred
  • Pro-Act certified: preferred
  • Behavioral health: 3 years
  • Psychiatry: 1 year
