Job Responsibility
- Collaborates with the treatment team to facilitate implementation of the treatment plan.
- Offers peer support services to participants prior to discharge and after their return to their communities.
- Provides a variety of peer support, advocacy, and other recovery services to clients and caregivers.
- Develops a relationship of trust with each participant, functioning as a role model, peer support, mentor, advocate, and ally.
- Communicates hope and encouragement to assist participants in developing readiness to discharge from the hospital and return to their community.
- Provides case management service to identified clients while maintaining the wellbeing of clients and integrity of the program.
- Offers assistance with independent living skills, coping skills and community adjustment, helping the individual make a positive connection to outpatient behavioral health services and other community resources.
Job Qualification
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Recovery Peer Advocate or Recovery Peer Advocate - Provisional certification required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
