About the role

Damar Services is seeking a Behavioral Health Outpatient Associate to join the Outpatient and Behavioral Services team. The ideal candidate will provide individual and/or group therapy, perform assessments, and collaborate with the treatment team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains clinical case load
  • Provides counseling services for identified clients and their support network
  • Performs comprehensive formal and functional assessments
  • Implements, coordinates, monitors, documents, and evaluates measurable treatment goals
  • Maintains required productivity
  • Participates in clinical staffing for clients
  • Interacts professionally with parents, school, medical personnel, and others stakeholders with professionalism and the highest levels of interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Serves as a member of Damar Services’ interdisciplinary team
  • Takes pride and ownership in Damar’s facilities and assigned work areas
  • Takes priority duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures as defined in the Employee Handbook and the Damar Operational Policies and Procedures Manual
  • Completes and updates mandatory training and other licensure related items in a timely manner
  • Maintains documentation that is accurate and legible
  • Completes incident reports, including reporting any suspected exploitation, abuse, or neglect of a client
  • Respects the culture, diversity and rights of all clients, their families and the community

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required. Degree in social work, psychology, counseling or applicable discipline preferred
  • A minimum of 1 year of social work or counseling experience. Experience working with children with challenging behaviors, developmental and/or emotional disabilities is desired
  • Must already have an LSW, LMHCA, LMFTA, or LCACA and be “actively seeking” full licensure
  • Actively seeking licensure through collection of 3000 supervision hours, including participation in licensure supervision cohorts through Damar as needed to collect all/remaining supervision hours
  • Once the application is received and approved, candidate will have 12 months to take and pass the exam needed to obtain licensure
  • If the candidate fails to obtain the license after a maximum of 3 years from your hire date, you will no longer be eligible for the position
  • LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT preferred
  • Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
  • Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
