Behavioral Health Medical Provider- MD/DO Telehealth

About the role

Connections Health Solutions is a leading provider of immediate-access behavioral health crisis care. Our team combines medical and recovery-oriented treatment to stabilize individuals in crisis and connect them to community-based resources for ongoing recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide court ordered psychiatric evaluations of patients at the Crisis Response Center, in person or via telehealth.
• Testify regarding evaluations via videoconference at COT hearings, if required.
• Evaluate patients on the Observation or Inpatient Units, depending on the need of the facility.
• Render a recommendation for or against COT placement, diagnose, assess, and recommend treatment.
• Review and utilize available documents from the crisis clinical team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure appropriate treatment modalities.
• Escalate complicated cases to CRC Medical Director or designee.
• Review and assess involuntary petitions, coordinate with the legal system, and follow established guidelines.
• Utilize information from the EHR to help determine if a patient requires COT and include this in the affidavit submitted to the court.
• Testify in court following filing of the affidavit, using teleconferencing as the primary method.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine degree.
• 4 years of post-doctoral experience, including approved psychiatric residency training programs, in the delivery of mental health treatment to children, adolescents, and/or adults.
• Currently licensed by the State of Arizona.
• Board certified in Psychiatry.
• Familiar with A.R.S. Title 36 as it pertains to COE/COT processes and procedures.

Pay

Maximize your earnings with shift differentials: $4.50/hr for Monday-Thursday nights, $9.00/hr for Friday-Sunday nights, and $4.50/hr for Saturday-Sunday days.
