Job Responsibilities
As a Licensed Practical Nurse you will be responsible for performing Nursing assessments and interventions with medications oversight and administration as needed. Additional responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse include:
- Reporting client’s social, psychological and physical behavior as indicated
- Implementing and ensuring compliance with standards of nursing practice that promote optimal health care delivery and meet regulatory requirements
- Implementing policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance with Confidentiality regulations, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), national accreditation agency and Continuous Quality Improvement
- Attending applicable meetings as necessary
- Using state guidelines, Quality Assurance Plan and Client Rights Policy, ensuring that clinical operations comply with state regulations and update plans and policies as necessary
- Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, making recommendations for hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, motivating, disciplining and promoting team performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Requirements
- Active and current LPN Licensure in state of employment
- 2 years’ experience as a nurse working with behavioral health clients, preferred
- Working knowledge of psychoactive substance abuse, dependency and the principles and techniques based on best practices, commitment to the use of evidence based treatment and preventative methods
- Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance required
