Behavioral Health ED Evaluator
Responsibilities
- Provides clinical evaluations of prospective patients determining patients’ appropriateness for the program and coordinates with attending psychiatrist
- Transfers/Coordination - Refers patient to outside hospitals/facilities as needed
- Obtains insurance authorizations
- Ensures accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Performs all other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Active Maryland license as one of the following is required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) OR Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
- Minimum of 3 years of adult psych and crisis assessment experience preferred
- Strong organization, initiative, and time management skills
- Proficient computer skills required; Cerner MedConnect experience preferred
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Qualifications
Candidates must possess and maintain an active Maryland license as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) or a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
Benefits
The full-time position is 36 hours per week; PRN (per diem) Behavioral Health ED Evaluator for the following shifts: Day shift (7:00 am to 7:30 pm) Night shift (7:00 pm to 7:30 am). Must be flexible with the schedule.
Pay
Salary Range: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
