OTHR$250/hrFull-time

About the Role

As the Behavioral Health Coordinator, you'll play a key role in shaping a collaborative, supportive, and clinically responsive counseling center within SIUE's integrated Cougar Care model. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician who is passionate about clinical consultation, mentorship, supervision, and partnering with colleagues to provide exceptional, student-centered care. If you enjoy helping others grow while contributing to an innovative model of collegiate mental health care, you'll find a rewarding professional home at SIUE.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Counseling Services | Clinical Training Coordinator, you'll serve as a trusted clinical resource for the counseling team, helping guide the daily delivery of clinical services while fostering collaboration, communication, and thoughtful clinical decision-making. Rather than maintaining a traditional ongoing therapy caseload, you'll use your clinical expertise to support same-day access, crisis assessment and intervention, consultation on complex clinical presentations, and continuity of care, helping ensure students receive the right level of support when they need it most.

A central part of this role is investing in the growth of others. You'll provide clinical supervision, consultation, and mentorship to practicum students, trainees, and clinicians working toward independent licensure. Through reflective supervision, case consultation, and professional development, you'll help cultivate confident, ethical, and compassionate clinicians while strengthening a culture of learning, curiosity, and clinical excellence.

Every day, you'll collaborate with colleagues across Counseling Services, Health Services, and the broader Cougar Care team to strengthen access to care and support an integrated, student-centered approach to well-being. By supporting clinicians, advancing best practices, and fostering a welcoming and responsive clinical environment, you'll make a meaningful impact on student well-being, resilience, and academic success while helping shape the future of behavioral health services at SIUE.
