Behavioral Health Consultant (LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist)

Responsibilities

  • Identify, triage, and manage patients with medical and behavioral health issues as part of the primary care team.
  • Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families.
  • Develop behavioral and therapeutic treatment plans.
  • Assist providers in recognizing and treating mental disorders.
  • Detect at-risk patients and assess clinical status for referred individuals.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or PhD/PsyD in Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist in California.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Valid California driver’s license with proof of insurance and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Experience with health psychology services for pediatric patients (0-18).
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, adverse childhood experiences, suicide prevention, and crisis assessment.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records.
