About the role
Provides universal and individualized mental health consultative services based upon the Pyramid approach to Social Emotional programming. Works as a collaborative team member to support teachers, parents and community partners in the promotion of age-appropriate social emotional skills, the prevention of social emotional problems and the individualized response to behavioral and/or social emotional needs of young children.
Responsibilities
- Provide mental health consultative services based on the Pyramid approach to Social Emotional programming.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community partners to promote social emotional skills.
- Support the prevention of social emotional problems and respond to the behavioral and social emotional needs of young children.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, education or closely related field.
- One year of experience providing mental health services to children birth to five years of age.
- Strong clinical assessment skills including familiarity with the impact of trauma, poverty, mental illness, neglect and abuse on young children.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, familiarity with adult learning styles, experience working with diverse populations and providing large group trainings.
- Proven team and leadership skills with willingness to work with a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate program services and implement changes.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination, TB screen, background screen and drug test (including marijuana).
- Must have access to reliable transportation and if using a personal vehicle must maintain minimum liability insurance as determined by the State of Colorado.
Skills
- Familiarity and/or formal training in the Pyramid approach to Social Emotional programming.
- Training and/or experience in the use of solution focused therapy.

Pay
$2,615.30 - $2,807.42/ per pay period (bi-weekly)

Work Scheduled for 40 Hours a Week
