Behavioral Health Clinician (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) for Outpatient Clinic

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to patients and families including completing diagnostic evaluations, as well as providing individual, family, and group therapy.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Engage in ongoing treatment monitoring, collaboration with other providers involved in a patient’s care, and disposition planning.
• Maintain timely communication with team members, supervisor, and leadership.
• Attend team meetings and educational in-services.
• Enter appropriate notes and charge captures that comply with state and federal standards in the medical record for all patients seen.
• Engage in quality improvement projects.
• Serve on committees, task forces, and/or workgroups.

  Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor or Senior Instructor, based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
  • Rank at the time of appointment will be based on the candidate’s demonstrated contributions and experience in teaching, clinical, research, and/or service to the field. We welcome applicants with a range of backgrounds and accomplishments and encourage individuals to highlight the breadth and depth of their professional impact.
  • Instructor: 1-3 years of relevant clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum degree qualifications: Master’s in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or related field.
  • Colorado License or be eligible for licensure within the state of Colorado (LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
  • Senior Instructor: 1-3 years of relevant clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum degree qualifications: Master’s in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or related field.
  • Colorado License or be eligible for licensure within the state of Colorado (LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
  • Preferred Qualifications (applicable for all ranks): Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience working with youth and families post-licensure.
  • Experience providing evidence-based assessment and treatment to youth with mental health concerns and their families.
  • Preference will be given to those who are eager to engage in all aspects of the academic mission (clinical, teaching, scholarship, and service).
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Clinical knowledge and experience in evidence-based assessment and treatment of youth mental health concerns and their families in an outpatient mental health setting.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Capacity for flexibility and adaptability in different work situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks and maintain a well-organized work environment.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide effective supervision to mental health trainees and consultation with other mental health professionals.

    Anticipated Pay Range: The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: Instructor: $72,000 to $95,000 Senior Instructor: $72,000 to $95,000 The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
