Behavioral Health Clinician II or III

About the role

The Behavioral Health Clinician II or III position in the SoonerStart program is responsible for providing intervention services to children birth to three and their families to enhance well-being. Key responsibilities include providing early intervention services in the child and family's natural environment, conducting assessments, developing individual family service plans, coaching caregivers, and consulting with community agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provides early intervention services in the child and family’s natural environment (home, childcare, park etc.)
• Participates in family interviews
• Conducts intakes, including client interviews and conducts assessments to make appropriate recommendations for services
• Collaborates with families and caregivers to identify goals, develop strategies and appropriate effective individual family service plan based on child/family’s mental and behavioral health needs
• Coaches caregivers on implementing strategies to address social emotional and behavioral concerns
• Serves as a member of an interdisciplinary team to monitor the effectiveness of child health and development services
