Position Summary

The Partial/Intensive Outpatient Programs Behavioral Health Clinician - IRP 2 position is a clinical and education position, including, but not limited to:

  • Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation for patients with mental health complaints referred to OSU Harding Hospital Partial/IOPs.
  • Provide counseling/psychotherapy/psychoeducation to group and individuals with mental & behavioral disorders to facilitate return to previous or improved functioning.
  • Services provided include group psychotherapy, individual psychotherapy, and/or couple/family therapy.
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans to assist patients to determine and meet treatment goals.
  • Other duties include advocating within local community if needed; work as part of clinical team; maintain third-party payer relationships; and complete all necessary paperwork (e.g., disability, FMLA).

Minimum Qualifications For Hire

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling or related field;
  • Experience working with patients with mental illness and/or substance use disorders is also required;
  • Experience and/or training in at least one evidence-based psychotherapy modality (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy) is preferred;
  • Ongoing: Maintain licensure(s), credentials, and CBLs. Practice within the parameters of the Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board, Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board.
  • Training in at least one evidence-based psychotherapy modality (e.g., cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal psychotherapy) will be required.
