Behavioral Health Clinician - Children's Intensive Services

Community-Based Opportunity: This role provides services directly in the community and requires travel throughout Oakland County. Candidates should be comfortable working in various community-based settings and traveling between locations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling required
• Current Michigan licensure or limited licensure (LLPC/LPC, LLMSW/LMSW, or TLLP/LLP/LP)
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
• At least one year of experience working with children and families in a behavioral health or human services setting

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy to children and families
• Complete comprehensive behavioral health and clinical assessments
• Assess for mental health, substance use, psychiatric symptoms, and acute safety needs
• Provide intensive stabilization and crisis intervention services
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor client progress
• Help individuals identify behavioral and emotional triggers and develop crisis and relapse prevention plans
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, schools, community providers, and other professionals to coordinate care
• Support individuals with medication-related needs and provide education as appropriate
• Participate in team huddles and multidisciplinary consultation
• Provide trauma-informed care to children and families impacted by trauma
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with funding and organizational requirements
• Travel throughout Oakland County and surrounding areas to provide services
